FILM REEL TRANSFERS

Preserve your family’s history by converting your old film reels into a digital format. Over time, film reels can deteriorate and often require special handling, splicing, or repair to ensure a successful transfer. Your film reel transfer includes a USB flash drive as the standard storage option for your digitized video files. Select additional media options to add on archival DVDs for secure and long-term file backup, or a digital link to download your video files directly to your device.

• A $30 minimum setup fee per order applies, in addition to the flat-rate cost per reel. 
• We accept 8mm, Super 8, and 16mm film reels.

MEDIA OPTIONS

All videotape and film reel transfer orders include a USB drive at no additional charge. Order duplicate copies to share with family and keep backup copies in a safe place.

• Add a digital link via WeTransfer to download your video files directly to your device.
• Add Archival DVDs for secure and long-term file backup. 
• Playable DVDs are high-quality discs, providing an archival backup for your video files that can be viewed with a standard DVD player.
• Data DVDs are high-quality discs, providing an archival backup for your video files that can be accessed on a computer.
• Whenever possible, we combine multiple tapes onto a single disc or flash drive, unless otherwise requested.
• Each DVD holds up to 2 hours of video. USB drives hold approximately 2 hours of MP4 video for each gigabyte of space.
