Documents, letters, and newspaper clippings can be scanned to protect their contents, while personal artwork, sketches, and paintings are preserved with our large-format digitization service.
SCANNING SERVICES
PRINT SCANS
Prints are scanned at a standard resolution of 300 dpi. Pricing is based on print sizes that are between 2½x3½” to 8x12”. An additional $1.00 per print charge applies to any damaged or mounted prints, prints smaller than 2½x3½”. Front and back of image scanning counts as two individual scans.
Preparing Prints for Scanning
- Loose prints only. Remove all prints from albums, envelopes or frames.
- Remove all tape, staples, paper clips, glue or attachments from prints.
- Sort prints by size and orientation.
Additional Information
- Standard 300 dpi scan resolution allows print reproduction quality equal to the original size of the print
- Upgrade to a higher resolution scan for enlargement quality prints, additional charges apply.
- Prints must be numbered on the back when a specific order is requested, additional charges apply.
- Scanning the front and back of prints counts as two individual scans, additional charges apply.

Photo Archive Box - $119.99
Safeguard your memories with our Photo Archive Box! Scan up to 750 4x6” prints for as low as 16¢ per print. Simply purchase the Photo Archive Box online or in-store, fill it with your photos, and drop it off at our Golden Valley location. Our team will carefully scan each photo at its original size with a resolution of 300 dpi, and save the digital copies to a USB drive. Plus, with all scanning done in-house, your precious memories never leave our store.

Specialty FLATBED Scans
We offer specialty flatbed scanning services for prints and documents ranging from smaller than 2½x3½” to 11x17”, that are damaged, mounted, or delicate due to age. We take extra care to preserve and digitize these items in their original condition. This includes items with tears, rips, folded edges, decorative edges, or those mounted or stuck to glass. The service also covers newspaper clippings, old documents, handwritten recipes, and other fragile or aged items.

OVERSIZE FLATBED SCANS
We offer oversize flatbed scans for original prints and documents larger than 11x17" up to 16x24"
- Pricing starts at $50 and varies based on the item and size.
Large Format Digitizing
For personal artwork, large pieces, renderings, or any items that can't be scanned on a flatbed, we professionally photograph them in our studio. The images are saved at high resolution and digitally processed to optimize quality for archiving and printing.

MEDIA OPTIONS
All pre-paid scanning orders include a digital download link sent to your email via WeTransfer. Order duplicate copies to share with family and store back-up copies in a safe place.
- For orders over $20, files are saved to a USB flash drive at no additional charge.
- An archival disc can be substituted for the USB upon request.
- Additional copies can be purchased to share with family.
- Choose archival media for secure and long-term file backup.
